The inaugural Oconee County Animal Control Wag’n Wheel Pet Fest is Aug. 22 at Heritage Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature exhibits, demonstrations, entertainment and food. Organizers are still looking for vendors, animal experts and rescue organizations. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Oconee County Animal Shelter’s foster and adoption program.
