Graduating from high school is already a noteworthy accomplishment. Not many graduating seniors can say they released a music album the same day as their graduation ceremony.

But that is exactly what Connor Byers, now an Oconee County High School alumnus, did on May 17.

Byers released his second solo album, “Magic Moments” on platforms including Google’s Play Music, iTunes, iHeartRadio and Spotify, and his second single, “Sorry”, is posted on his YouTube channel.

The album has been his big musical project for the past couple of years, and so far, it seems to have paid off.

“Magic Moments” has over 350,000 streams on Spotify. Additionally, the album’s first single, “Rocketships (What It Means to Be Alive)” has over 280,000 streams alone.

The album, a seven-song record, tells different stories about important moments in life, both in his life and, more generally, other people’s lives.
