Happening THIS Saturday, September 21, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Greensboro’s Georgia Classic Cruisers Car Cluband the Greensboro Main Street Programwill host the 17thAnnual Rock ‘n Roll Cruise-In.

While at the Cruise-In, you can expect to see over a hundred classic cars, live music from the Good Vibrations Band, shops and restaurants open late, and concessions to boost the street-side Cruise-In. There will be a wide variety of antique, classic, vintage, street rods and special interest cars. Something for every car enthusiast to enjoy.

Gather your friends, family, and bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. The Good Vibrations Bandwill be performing on the Court House Lawn. The band delights listeners and dancers by playing an extensive collection of Motown hits, golden oldies, Carolina Beach music, timeless Rhythm & Blues favorites and much more. Dancing will be encouraged throughout the evening and hula-hoops will be out to get you moving.

Approximately 150 specialty cars will grace the streets of Downtown Greensboro, from stock antiques to highly modified Hot Rods.  There will be an abundance of 60’s through 70’s muscle cars to include GTO’s, Corvette’s, Chevelle’s and Camaro’s, plus Ford Mustang’s and Chrysler products including Barracuda’s, Belvedere's and Road Runners. There will also be several ’55 through ‘59 Chevrolets.  

For car participants, a registration fee of $20 gives you the opportunity to win one of 25 awards generously sponsored by the Jimmy Britt Chevrolet, Buick, GMC dealership of Greensboro, Georgia. Vehicle registration starts at 4 p.m. and awards will be distributed at 7:30 p.m.

Throughout the evening, many of the downtown merchants and restaurants will remain open for you to enjoy a night full of shopping and dining at some of Downtown Greensboro’s finest places.
