Oconee County children are experiencing what it’s like to be a farmer, marooned adventurer, robot technician and even a superhero.

This week, Rocky Branch Elementary School is hosting Camp Invention, a nationally recognized summer program for rising kindergarten through sixth graders.

In three weeks, Colham Ferry Elementary School will host the same camp from June 24 to June 28. Those interested in the Colham Ferry camp are advised to check openings starting next week, after the Rocky Branch camp ends.

National Inventors

The summer camp is a program from the National Inventors Hall of Fame, a non-profit organization that recognizes individual inventors and engineers who hold patents for noteworthy technologies.
