ATHENS, Ga. – Ice skating returns to the Classic City this Friday! Experience this holiday season with safe, outdoor fun. Akins Ford presents Athens on Ice at the 440 Foundry Pavilion. 'Tis the season to be safe! With mobile tickets, limited capacities, and extra sanitation measures, you can relax and enjoy the most magical time of the year. Space for each session is limited, so buy your tickets ahead of time to save your space in the rink.

There are a few key differences to look out for this year:

  1. Masks required at all times.
  2. Signed health affidavits required for entry.
  3. Mobile tickets only - limited capacities, purchase in advance.
  4. Box Office closed; mobile ticket confirmation scanned at 440 Foundry Pavilion entry.
  5. All outdoor access; the facility is closed to through traffic.
  6. Guests encouraged to enter parking deck from Foundry Street entrance. Proceed to level 2 for easy stroll down Foundry Street.

Grab your tickets now at ClassicCenter.com/AthensOnIce to get ready for the season. The rink will be open from November 6 – January 31. Skate sessions are 75 minutes of fun at only $15 per ticket. Groups of ten or more are eligible for $12 tickets. Want to skate regularly all season? Then grab a season pass for just $120 to enjoy the rink for all three months! All tickets include skate rental for the session.

Interested in volunteering for the rink and being a part of the fun? Nonprofit organizations can sign up for dates to volunteer through The Classic Center Cultural Foundation. Not only can your organization’s members have a blast, but they can earn money for their philanthropies at the same time.
