Cody Fortson is an artist whose canvas includes both bodies and buildings. The professional tattoo artist based out of Commerce was commissioned to create a creative, standout mural forDoughby’s Pizza and More.

“His talent will leave you speechless,” Doughby’s Pizza and More Owner Justin Kamishlian said. “We cannot thank him enough for making Doughby’s one of a kind.” 

Fortson, who attended the Art Institute of Atlanta, specializes in folk art, murals, signs and psychedelic artwork. He owns Stand Alone Tattoo in Commerce and previously worked at Mothership Tattoo in Athens.

“I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil,” Fortson said. “I drew on my walls and drew on my pants. Eventually, I would draw on my body. It’s always been a part of my life.”
