The military heroes at The Landing Senior Living will forever be honored with a new Veteran’s Wall, which was donated and set up by Carolyn Massey of Madison.

The honorary wall is a fixture that will continue to grow with medals, artifacts and photographs of veterans in uniform. Warren Robinson’s book “There is no greater love than this...”  is displayed on the framed flag in the center of the wall.

Bridgeway Hospice and VFW Post 2872 partnered to honor the following veterans at a special breakfast last Wednesday:

  •  Hugh McCormack, U.S. Navy
  •  Richard Wagner, U.S. Army
  •  Col. Velmar Davis, U.S. Army
  •  John Mercer, U.S. Army
  •  Freddy Farrow, U.S. Marine Corps
  •  World War II veteran Robert Border, U.S. Navy
  •  Ed DeAngelis, U.S. Air Force.

“There’s a lot of wisdom in this generation,” Director of Marketing Christin Smith previously told The Oconee Enterprise. “We are really blessed to service them and hear their life stories.”
