Jennifer Hadden was recognized as the Oconee Area Resource Council’s Volunteer of the Year at the nonprofit’s annual breakfast last week.

Hadden has served as OARC’s volunteer marketing director since January of 2018 and currently sits on the organization’s board.

“She quickly jumped in to fill a gap by volunteering to provide her assistance with our social media accounts and by creating flyers and brochures for events,” said OARC Executive Director Amanda Davis. “She continues to impress and inspire all of us with her creativity and the beauty she brings to all of our materials she shares with Oconee County.”

Following the breakfast, Hadden explained that she was honored to be recognized. She shared that she thought the honor validated her and OARC’s efforts to help children in the county, but she also wanted to praise others.

“I think it’s not about me and the forms I create as it is about the awesome counselors, teachers and social workers,” she said.
