The registration deadline for the Watkinsville Christmas Parade is Nov. 20. Entries should showcase a favorite Christmas or holiday movie to go along with the theme “Now showing…”

The Watkinsville Christmas Parade is Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. The annual Tree Lighting will be after the parade, and the Oconee Farmers Market will have vendors that afternoon in the parking lot of Oconee State Bank. 

Christmas Parade entry guidelines can be found at cityofwatkinsville.com on the community tab. Registration is free.

Entries will be judged in the following categories: Best Use of Theme Adult, Best Use of Theme Youth, Most Artistic Adult Entry, Most Artistic Youth Entry, Best Tractor and Best Antique Vehicle.

In related news, The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation will hold its annual Holiday Market Dec. 4 from 5-8 p.m. and Dec. 5-6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Artists’ Shoppe inside the 1902 Building will be Dec. 4-19 during normal OCAF hours.
