doctor

Dr. Aliya Safwan has travelled all over the world to learn about treating patients. She was born in Uganda before moving back to Pakistan, doing most of her schooling there, moving to Canada and moving finally, three years ago, to Oconee County.

Now, Safwan is an internal medicine doctor at Piedmont Regional Hospital's Oconee Health Campus. She is now accepting patients for her internal medicine practice at the health campus.

"I focus mostly on preventative medicine," Safwan said. "I treat diabetes, thyroid issues, hypertension and all kinds of chronic medical conditions."
