Pumpkin spice is not the only fragrance of fall. The savory scents of funnel cakes, boiled peanuts, kettle corn and barbecue are a staple of the season, especially on the third Saturday of October.

The 48th annual Oconee Chamber of Commerce Fall Festival will have over 200 vendors Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rocket Field. Admission is free.

Presenting sponsor BankSouth will have a tailgate area where Georgia fans can also try their hand a game of cornhole. Kids activities include face painting, musical fun, pictures with princesses, arts and crafts and booths of homemade wooden toys and custom dolls. The Friends of the Library group will also have pumpkins for families to decorate.

The Oconee Chamber Fall Festival started in 1974 and is known as a premiere arts and crafts festival for the region.  Smoking and pets are prohibited. A digital brochure contains a map, description of vendors and list of sponsors at
