The Board of Commissioners on Tuesday unanimously denied a proposed vehicle salvage yard in Farmington at the intersection of Macon Highway and Salem Road.

Neither the property owners, Mike Thornton and Tommy Saxon, nor the applicant, HPC Auto Services owner Ben Hanley, were present. 

Hanley had proposed to construct an impoundment lot for his Madison-based towing and wrecker company
