Former Oconee County tight end Jake Johnson commits to UNC
After spending two seasons in College Station, Texas, as a member of the Texas A&M Aggies, former Oconee County High School star tight end Jake Johnson is transferring to the University of North Carolina.
Johnson announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 6, and announced he had chosen UNC as his next destination on Dec. 18.
Johnson will be reunited with his older brother and former Texas A&M teammate, quarterback Max Johnson in Chapel Hill. The elder Johnson brother committed to North Carolina last month, and figures to start at quarterback for the Tar Heels next season.
