The offices of The Oconee Enterprise will be closed to the public Friday, Dec. 22 through Monday, Jan. 1. During that time, there will be some days various staff members are working either at home or at the office.

Messages may be left by calling (706) 769-5175, and information can be sent via email to respective employees.

A staff box can be found on the bottom left corner of page A4.

If your subscription expires during this time, please email Co-Publisher Amanda Prochaska at amanda@oconeeenterprise.com.

Correspondence may also be left in our mailbox outside the front door of our office at 26 S. Barnett Shoals Road. Next week’s newspaper will have been completed by Thursday, Dec. 21. Any breaking news will be posted on our Facebook page and website. Our special Year-in-Review issue will be published Jan. 4.

We wish Oconee County a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. In the week ahead, we encourage you to take an evening trip to the Elder Mill Covered Bridge, which has been decorated with dazzling Christmas lights by Boy Scout Troop 3537. The 1897 bridge is one of 13 functioning covered bridges in Georgia and the only covered bridge along Georgia’s Antebellum Trail.
